Workshop Objectives:
This workshop is an attempt to promote an increasingly more active
collaboration between the sectors of cultural heritage and artificial
intelligence. The aim is to bring together researchers working on
different topics in order to catalyse possible interaction and
aggregation between the different agents and to constitute a community
of institutions which together will be able to tackle this new
challenge. The proliferation of computer applications in the sphere of
cultural assets renders the ascertainment of the state of the arts even
more urgent. The workshop will provide the opportunity to present, share
and discuss the experience of researchers in managing cultural heritage
resources. In particular we are interested to focus on current trends
and on the future directions for artificial intelligence techniques in
the cultural field.
Topics:
Authors are invited to submit works dealing either with methodological
or application solutions pointing out the real possible uses and
applications of methods and of tools of the artificial intelligence in
the field of the cultural heritage. Works on the following subjects are
particularly welcome (the list is not exhaustive):
Augmented reality
Digital library
Digital preservation
Intelligent and/or adaptive interfaces
Models and formal methods for the knowledge representation and sharing
on the Web dealing with the enjoyment of artistic heritage
Mobile agents
Multimedia music representation and formatting
Ontologies for cultural heritage
3D Modelling and Reconstruction
User and group modelling for active cultural heritage
Virtual characters

Important dates:
April 15th: deadline for paper submission
May 10th: notification of accepted paper
May 18th: early registration deadline
May 24th: accepted papers are due
Paper submission format:
Interested participants are requested to submit their papers in the same
style of main conference (see format informations).
