Announcement of the 2005 ACM/SIGART Autonomous Agents Research Award
The selection committee for the ACM/SIGART Autonomous Agents Research
Award
is pleased to announce that Dr. Milind Tambe of the University of
Southern
California is the recipient of the 2005 award. Dr. Tambe has made
significant and sustained contributions to the research on autonomous
agents
and multiagent systems. In particular, Dr. Tambe made seminal
contributions
to the theory, applications, and software infrastructure in the area of
teamwork, which has become a flourishing research area in multiagent
systems. In addition to his substantial research contributions, Dr.
Tambe
has served the autonomous agents research community in a variety of
ways,
most recently as the General co-chair of the Third International
Conference
on Autonomous Agents and MultiAgent Systems (AAMAS2004).=20
