The workshop should create a forum where two disciplines
will meet: mobile computing and knowledge management.
This idea stems from the research conducted in the
framework of project MUMMY (www.mummy-project.org) coordinated by
ZGDV Darmstadt Germany. With growing number of
applications where mobile computing and knowledge
management meet it is necessary to create conditions for
mutual understanding and support for researchers active
in these two fields.

* applications and computing services supporting mobile users
* architectures, protocols and algorithms to cope with mobility, limited
bandwidth or intermittent connectivity
* database and data management issues in mobile computing
* user interfaces in mobile computer environment (design, usability and
accessibility issues)
* new mobile and wireless applications
* location-dependent applications
* wireless multimedia systems
* service creation and management environments for mobile and wireless
systems
* quality of service in mobile computing environment
* application of knowledge representation techniques to semantic
modeling
* data and knowledge sharing
* cooperation in heterogeneous systems
* domain modeling and ontology building
* knowledge discovery in databases
* national policies and knowledge management
* the role of industry and academia in knowledge management
* knowledge management technology
* knowledge and information retrieval
* aligning organizational structures towards a knowledge sharing
community
* group support systems
* information retrieval interest profiles, information filtering
* data mining and supportive technique (information visualization, etc.)
* knowledge communication and knowledge cooperation in distributed
groups
* use of mobile knowledge management
